Bailee is a beautiful little brindle Border Collie mix puppy who came to North Star on February 18, 2014. Her mother was a purebred Border Collie and her dad was unknown. She was born on October 15, 2013.
She is a very happy, wiggly and sweet puppy with lots of energy. She currently lives with numerous other dogs and gets to play a lot. Of course this helps get rid of some of her energy, which makes her settle nicely in the house. She is learning that sitting quietly will get her lots of attention and treats, and jumping up on people will get her nothing. She is very smart and learns quickly, but sometimes she is just so darn exuberant she forgets. 
Consistency works very well with Bailee and as long as her new owners continue working with her – she is going to be a wonderful companion.
Bailee sleeps through the night in her crate and keeps it clean, but is till working on her housetraining. She is doing very well but must be constantly supervised so she does not make mistakes. She rides nicely in the car (crated) and does not have a problem with carsickness. She likes toys and chewing on elk antlers. She is extremely food motivated, which makes teaching her a breeze!
Because of her already high energy level, Bailee will not be adopted to a home with very young children. She currently lives with a cat, and other than wanting to constantly play…is doing just fine with him.
At this time Bailee is too young to be spayed so she will need to be adopted with a spay/neuter contract. This means that in addition to her $250.00 adoption fee, there will be an additional $100.00 refundable deposit which will be returned once we receive documentation she has been spayed. Bailee has received the necessary vaccinations appropriate for her age, microchipped, de-wormed, and started on heartworm preventative.
